Personal revelation to find your roadmap
A brave BYU student said this at the BYU/Relief Society Women’s Conference: "There's no roadmap for me as a gender fluid child of God. That's why I need personal revelation" (from the session, "Christ-Centered Parenting of LGBTQ Children," May 3, 2024).
It made me think of this from Evan Smith’s book, Gay LDS Crossroads:
When it comes to what’s best for LGBTQ well-being, we need to do a better job in the church of listening to the opinions of LGBTQ people themselves. The scriptures teach that we should minister to people “according to their wants” (Mosiah 4:26), not church leader’s assessment of their wants or needs (italics added).
You just keep seeking personal revelation, beloved BYU student, not waiting for others to get revelation for you. You keep living your best life. You and God will figure it out.
